What?
Our Church Weekend Away is the perfect opportunity to step out of our normal routines to spend extended quality time with our church family.
We will enjoy fantastic teaching, worship and times of prayer alongside plenty of time to relax and build relationships - it's a weekend you won't want to miss.
Whether you're new to St Andrew’s or have been part of our church family for years, everyone is welcome!
We’re excited to spend time dwelling on the theme of ‘United in One Heart and Mind’.
Our prayer for the weekend is that God would form us into a united, gospel-shaped community.
Where?
We are heading to the beautiful Woodlands Park Hotel in Surrey. The address is Woodlands Park Hotel, Oxshott, Cobham, Surrey KT11 3QB.
When?
Friday 7th November (from 5pm) - Sunday 9th November (until 2pm).

Yes! We have provision to support all members of our church to come away.

By car:
Woodlands Park Hotel is just south of Oxshott, minutes from J9 of the M25. The postcode for SAT NAV users is KT11 3QB. Parking is free for all guests.
By train:
Nearest train station is Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon, which can be accessed on lines from Wimbledon. Taxis can take you from the station to the hotel, if you can pair up with some other travelling by train to share the cost.

Absolutely! If you haven’t already included any dietary requirements on your sign up, please email through to admin@standrewswimbledon.com by 31st October 2025. We will pass these on to the hotel chef and their team.

Standard rooms at Woodlands Park Hotel are either a double or twin hotel room. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom.
There are also en-suite family rooms available. Family rooms can sleep one child in a cot and up to two additional children on a pull-out bed.
Please note that child ticket prices are based on children sharing a room with their parents. Where this is not possible, due to number or age of children, we will discuss which room allocation works best to keep costs down.

Yes, there is a question in the sign up form where you can specify who you want to share a room with.
If you have already signed up and didn’t specify who you’d like to share with, we will pair you with someone of the same gender and a similar age. In the week running up to the weekend away you will be emailed to let you know who that person is. If you have any concerns at all about room arrangements, please email admin@standrewswimbledon.com.

If you haven’t included any mobility issues on your sign up please email through to admin@standrewswimbledon.com by 31st October 2025. We will make sure your room is situated in an accessible area, with accessible bathroom facilities if you’ve requested. All our sessions are in the main conference room which is on the ground floor.

The weekend away is a great opportunity for those newer to St Andrews to meet others in a fun and relaxed environment. There will be plenty of time to socialise over coffee or a drink in the bar. We encourage everyone on the weekend to chat with people they haven't met before to get to know more of the church family.

Come! There’ll be space to recharge, quiet moments, and no pressure to join every activity.

We understand, we really do! But still come! There’ll be plenty of options (craft or sport, walk or chill), and you can opt in to whatever you enjoy and opt out of whatever you’ll hate!

We’ve built in downtime so you can rest, reflect, or just enjoy the surroundings. And everything is optional, so you’ll always be welcome to take yourself off for some down time if you’d like.

There’ll be no pressure at all. You can engage in ways that feel comfortable for you and take yourself off if you ever don’t want to participate in anything.

Yes! We’re so thankful to our mission partners in Ohio who are coming over to run a kids program for us. We’re still working out lots of the trickier details so more info to come!

Yes! The afternoon activities will be welcome to kids too. And we will provide extra crafts and games that children can help themselves to and enjoy throughout the weekend.

We will have a creche room that adjoins to the main hall where the adult teaching will be happening. The sermons will be relayed into that room and you are welcome to use that room to sit with your child if they are reluctant to join in the kids’ program.

Yes, absolutely! You can engage with what’s on offer over the weekend however is best for your family.

Yes, there will be a room open for families from 6:30am. There will be no supervision provided in this room so parents will need to accompany their children!

After kids tea, we will put a kids movie on with supervision from the Ohio team during dinner for the adults. Following dinner, there will be time for parents to put their children to bed before the evening’s activities begin at 8pm.

We are not providing a formal listening service / childcare option for the evenings but we would encourage you to find families that you could teamwork your childcare with. The hotel is also fine with babysitters or family members coming to look after your children for the evening.
