The Hospitality Team generously serves refreshments during Sunday morning services as an extension of our welcome to all who attend. In this way we model the generous hospitality of Jesus.
The Welcome Team plays a crucial role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our Sunday gatherings. This team ensures that everyone who walks through the doors, whether a regular or a first-time visitor, is greeted personally, valued sincerely and helped practically in a way that is most appropriate for them. In this way we model the love and hospitality of Jesus.
Our stewards are part of the welcoming team as they are the ones who help Sundays to run smoothly, helping to practically prepare the church building for the service and assisting throughout Sunday mornings to help us to host our church family and guests well in a welcoming and effective manner.
Those on Families' Registration are also part of the welcoming team, making sure that any families and children who come through our doors are made to feel welcome, safe and cared for at church. They ensure that every child present has been registered for our Kids work and has a sticker with their name and parent's details printed on it.
Audio Support team are vital for helping our Sunday gatherings sound great so that people can hear the gospel clearly & worship joyfully without distraction. We set up microphones for speakers, set the sound mix and volume for musicians, and switch between different sound sources as required.
Visual Support are vital for helping our Sunday gatherings be engaging and easy to follow so that people can worship joyfully without distraction. Making meals
Our Making Meals Rota is a practical way to show love and care to those in our church family who are going through a tough time—whether they’re unwell, recovering from surgery, adjusting to life with a new baby, or facing other challenges. We simply prepare and deliver a meal (home-cooked or a shop-bought!) to someone in need.
It’s a flexible and meaningful way to serve, and every meal makes a big difference!
DIY Team
This team offers practical support to church members and local neighbours who need a bit of help—whether it’s fixing something around the house, tackling a bit of gardening or assembling furniture. It’s all about showing care through action and making life a little easier for those who are struggling, elderly, or just overwhelmed.
You don’t need to be a professional—just willing to help when you can. Jobs are usually small and manageable, and we’ll match tasks to your skills and availability.
